SHIRLEY KING (USA)
Ms.King started late to sing Blues. The first attempt was in 1990 and in six months she became Resident Artist at the KingstonMines. 2 years later she launched her first CD.
Shirley admits that being the daughter of B.B. King opened many doors. But her talent, charisma and energy made her one of the great divas of Blues.
From traditional “BluesMusic” up to “GospelMusic” and from “Funk” up to “R&B” and “SmoothSoul”, Shirley defies all styles. Her voice and her presence on stage are an explosion of energy.
Shirley has performed in major clubs and BluesMusic festivals in the world on USA, Italy, France as “TheDaughter of the Blues.”.
She sung with B.B.King, Bobby Bland, Albert King, Little Milton, Tyrone Davis, Otis Clay, Jerry Butler, Koko Taylor, Lonnie Brooks, Eddie Clearwater, Billy Branch
Being the daughter of B.B.King gave her the title of ” Daughter of the Blues,” but Shirley, is an extraordinary female singer and an amazing performer.
“HighEnergy, GetDown, GetFunky, JumpUp and JiggleYour BusinessChicagoBlues … I give this group my highest recommendation. ”

MARIA JOÃO & BuddaPowerBlues
One more surprise, Maria Joao, one of the most recognized Portuguese female singers, crosses the border between the Jazz and Blues showing that her talent has no musical boundaries.
On this trip, Maria João will be accompanied by one of the best Portuguese Blues band “BuddaPowerBlues”. This trio is led by Budda that is considered in Portugal one of the most charismatic Guitarists of Blues. He owns a technique and a voice full of SoulMusic.
“BuddaPowerBlues” is an explosion of energy. Truly “BluesExperience”!

Portuguese music cocktail adding rhythms of the world music, fully packed by the Portuguese sound of the Guitar.
“FadoEmSiBemol” is a band from Porto with 10 years of activity and 3 launched records.
Is with mastery and originality that the FadoEmSiBemol recreates music spoken in Portuguese, painting with the colors of the world and with the magic flavor of the Guitar from Portugal.
This collective navigates between the Parisian nights, the New York swing, the joy of samba and the melancholy of Fado.
Charm is the watchword and subtlety which “paints its watermark”. The time will carry on, and one thing is certain: we can’t stay indifferent to FadoEmSiBemol. Music will thank you back. Listen to them!

Manuel Santiesteban – Percussion
“One of the most interesting ways to form new audiences ….
is to create new alternative music circuits.
People listen to music and hear people that exposed themselves…
with new aesthetic concepts that are not standard or stereotyped.
What I just heard is wonderful, is an elegant and new way to treat Fado
These concepts, educate people’s hearing, these initiatives are so beautiful, so interesting…
At the end they end up becoming a stimulus! This is my life, this is my job and we need to learn from each other.
When I am sitting in a crowd, listening and enjoying other musicians work, I am learning!”
by Carlos do Carmo, Legend of Portuguese Fado, talking about “FadoEmSiBemol”
This gypsyjazz quintet, was formed in 2011. The band consists of Paulo Gonçalves and Ricardo Silva on guitars, Filipe Teixeira on standup bass, Arnaldo Fonseca on accordion, Francisco Tavares on violin.
On some occasions, guest artists bring their own spice to the mix. Most of their repertoire comes from the music of Django Reinhart and the “gypsyjazz” of 1930’s Europe. “G-Project” also finds inspiration in the rhythmic drive, collective improvisation and musical swing of New Orleans.
